If you live in the area of the hurricane and how to be prepared, what do you have a small battery for a quick escape?
There is water, peanut butter, food for dogs and cats (pets), a pillow and blanket, and some hand sanitizer.

You forgot a few things. Did you quickly understand all of your important documents in a container on hand. Bring all the negatives of those good ole days "of film photography. Bring your laptop. Set all weapons. (You can fall into the wrong hands of another fall.)
An additional 5 gal of fuel may be useful in traffic. Get your oil change, check your spare tire, belts and fluid levels.
Empty refrigerator and deep freeze prior to departure, or at least called me to do it for you after wards.
I have one (I live near the coast), but really should have an emergency kit.
As you know ... We had time to fear here ... Storms, lost power for several hours ... actually seen a tornado, if we dare! File
Anyway ... I think I need to get a gasket set ... Flashlights, batteries, radio, candles, matches, water, non-perishable food, first aid ...
